What Did You Find Meaningful about Worship
and Small Groups

during the Six‑Week E‑vent, October thru November 6?

For six weeks we worshiped around themes of prayer, relationships within the church, and evangelism.  For six weeks we held small groups which 100 of us engaged in.  For six weeks we grew together in our relationships with God, with people in the church, and with people outside the church.  Let's pause for a moment and reflect upon this six‑week E‑vent.  We asked people to respond to the question (which opens this article) and here are the answers we received:

"I found that my every day routines were times that I could pray to God and keep people in my thoughts in those prayers.  I enjoy helping people and this is one more way that I hope that their lives will be touched by God."

 Susan R.

"I like the small groups because you get to know people better.  It is also a spiritual trip for studying and setting aside time each day to read the Bible and pray.  I wish everyone would have tried them out.  I hope this leads to some kind of Bible group."                       Pam S.

"Worship   I found the additional prayer time in worship to be very meaningful and spiritual.  Small group   I enjoyed getting to know others in the group more personally.  We shared struggles and successes with individual prayer life and faith journeys.  People felt more comfortable opening their hearts, sharing their stories and offering suggestions for ways to strengthen our faith journey individually and as a church family."         Connie L.

"Being involved in the road to vitality since Summer 2010, I have had three opportunities for a small group experience. Each has been a great experience; I feel more connected to the 20+ people in the groups, my relationship with God and the people at Faith has grown, and I am looking forward to increasing my relationships outside the church."

 Larry B.

"I found that it enriched me and made me feel closer to God. I really enjoyed our small group meetings getting to know some of our members a little closer."                 Jen D.

"I did not participate in the small group part of the E‑vent. I am always impressed by the music which relates to the worship and it always draws me deeper into the service. It was second only to the thoughtful messages given by our pastors."        Emma Lou Z.

Meeting and learning more about our friends that we see every Sunday through conversation and prayer. I feel more prayerful from this positive experience.         Michael B.

"This is the first time that I have participated in a discussion group such as this and I liked the fact that the people involved consisted of all men made up primarily from the "Men's Breakfast Group." The fact that it was an all male group made it much easier for me to "open up" and participate in the discussions each Tuesday morning. With Gail and I both having a full schedule of doctor, dentist, radiation and therapy appointments, it made it necessary for me to miss the majority of the meetings, however those that I was able to attend were very meaningful and informative."                            Roy G.
